Pahela Boishakh is the first day of Bangla year which becomes a popular festival (উৎসব) in Bangladesh. This is the first day of the year. In fact, it is a Bangla new year's day which comes annually and is celebrated all over the country with great fun and frolic. Pahela Boishakh is a national festival in Bangladesh which is celebrated all over the country. All the people of our country take' part in this festival, irrespective (নির্বিশেষে ) of caste, creed and religion. They celebrate this day with great enthusiasm. In fact, it is secular in nature. Besides, there are other festivals and they are too numerous to mention. Some of them are religious festivals and some of them are historical.
